Step Four: Treatment Planning

This module will walk you through more details on treatment plans.

Step 4: Treatment Planning

Now that you’ve made your decision, let’s go deeper into one of the three paths you’ve chosen.

Active Surveillance

If your care team determines that active surveillance is the right management strategy for you, it means your cancer will be closely monitored rather than treated right away. This approach is carefully considered and is recommended when the cancer is low risk and the potential side effects of immediate treatment outweigh the benefits of acting now. In the link below, we walk you through what active surveillance involves, how your cancer will be monitored over time, and what to expect at each stage of the process.
